Naturalize your products!

With breast and other cancers on the rise, we really ought to be conscientious not only of what we put in our bodies, but ON our bodies.  Years and years of putting aluminum filled deodorant next to our breasts=probably not a good idea.  And the harsh chemicals in shampoos, conditioners, and body washes are abrasive to your skin and hard for your liver to process.

It's true when they say your skin is your biggest organ, and it literally absorbs everything you put on it.  The substances go into the bloodstream and down to the liver to be processed.  Think about all the makeup, lotions, perfumes, hair products, etc. you use on a daily basis.  Your poor liver!

I've gotten turned onto some great natural products that are much gentler on your body.  For shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and deodorant I use Hugo's Naturals, which is at Whole Foods, some grocery stores, and online.  Their products are fantastic, really work, and smell delicious!  For lotion I use Beautiful Soap & Co. hand and body lotion.  Their mango poppy flavor smells like you just walked off the plane into a multitude of Hawaiian flowers.

And for toothpaste, most brands contain hidden sugars and fluoride, which can inhibit your thyroid and cause all kinds of gastric issues.  I use Dr. Ken's All-Natural Maximum Care toothpaste.  Don't worry it still whitens your teeth!
